Hello everyone… I have been diagnozed with Schizophrenia in 2015 and since then I have had trouble accepting the reality that I am a mental patient.
Anyway the doctor put me on medication and guided me to use invega once a month. I have been on and off the medication, been hospitalized 4 times.
Invega is working well no doubt about it but there are a lot of side effects associated with it and thats why I am looking for alternate or parallel medicine. The doctor said that without invega I cannot become normal which is true from my experience but I want to get rid of the side effects such as insomnia , low sexual arousal, depression, weight gain, tiredness amongst others. Anyone using invega here? How do you feel about the injection?
Coming to the ayurveda part has anyone heard of or used ayurveda to get treated for schizophrenia?
There is a rejevunation center called Isha Rejevunation Center in Coimbatore in India … it provides the best help and service regarding ayurveda treatment for schizophrenia for starters.
It definitely works but the side effects are so ■■■■■■■ unbelievably intense. It calmed my brain down quite a bit, but unfortunately left me so nauseas and depressed and suicidal I ended up in hospital. Different strokes for different folks i guess. Was a terrible ap for me.
I know a bit about Ayurveda. I read a book about Ayurvedic medicine and I ate Ayurvedic food at a Yoga retreat one week and had Ayurvedic treatments there. I try to follow Ayurvedic practices a bit, at home. Although I’ve kind of gotten away from it. I want to get back into it. Namaste.
Hi @EDM_Stan, I don’t believe in ayurveda. There are questions about it and I didn’t find the answer.!!! I also suffered from myopia, once I went to a ayurvedic doctor (govt doctor) , he gave me such medicine that my eyes were likely to be damaged.
There is no evidence to measure BP and sugar levels in history of ayurveda, than how they treat it.
I think ayurveda has to start from animals.
For schizophrenia, once I call (phone) an ayurvedic company to suggest me medicine. He said a lot, not about medicine but to change my life style, do yoga, pranayam, become vegetarian. So it’s doubtful for me.
Its true … you are right … for mental illnesses ayurveda has no cure till now… even i enquired in the ayurvedic hospital their medicine should be used very carefully but they suggested i continue using allopathy.
