I feel turbo I feel mega
Now that I do take Invega
Also known as paliperidone
It keeps me sane, makes me go on
(I posted it before here but I like it)
Official love thread for Invega
I like your poem. Invega has taken away my paranoid delusions. And over the months of being on it the initial side effects I had have subsided.
I feel the same way. After my dose was upped from 6mg to 9mg, it feels like things are calming down for me.
The side-effects seem to be lessening now, after having been on the dose for a few weeks.
In vega veritas!
It helps mute the voices, but I still have annoying thought broadcasting. Need a new medication, going to go for haldol or abilify which are NMDA antagonists, that should stop the symptom.
Does anyone here have an issue of jaw pain while eating after taking invega for a long time??
Invega costs $250 per month in the U.S.
I need something more reasonably priced.
Going to talk to my pdoc today about switching from risperdal to invega. I know they’re similar, but based on my research and how I react to risperdal, I think invega is the better choice for me.
Thanks for this thread! Cheered me up and is making me think I’m on the right path with the meds
Hey berru, what type of side affects did you have?
Don’t need to answer if you’re not comfortable, but asking to see if I could ask my pdoc about giving me some if it helps you guys.
The side effects seemed to subside after a few weeks, but they were dry mouth, increased caffeine sensitivity, and neverending hunger
I don’t understand why it is so expensive for the generic?
I wish I had the same response to Invega that these people got… made me blank uncomfortable fat and flat. Gave me boobs, ruined my hormones and bones, eh the list goes on but whatever I don’t wanna poop on your days. Enjoy!
I don’t know why invega is so expensive. The brand name costs about 5x as much.
In the next 8-10 years there will be 5 or 6 more meds that go generic. I hope they will be cheaper than invega…
It is not life sentence
Find good doctor and you ll able to recover
And have ajob and ur own life
My pdoc yesterday agreed to put me on 6mg paliperidone and fortunately my insurance covers it, so I’m going to pick it up today and start it tonight.
I am excited about the meds switch, because I hear it has way less side effects than risperidone, which I tolerate pretty well.
I’m hoping the sedation isn’t too bad since it’s almost the same as risperdal, but we’ll find out tomorrow morning!
