I like the intense and rapid sounds after the 2 minute mark. I’ll have to listen to in bits, though, but I do really think you have a lot of talent.
I’m about 20 minutes in, and I am really enjoying a lot of it. I think the part I’m listening to now is my favorite so far, the part that starts at about 16/17 minutes in. During the arpeggio bursts, I find myself focusing on the, idk. The undermelodies.
That’s personal preference - I’ve always liked lower-register, sustained melodies compared to rapid fire notes. In pop music, I’m drawn to the bass guitar
I’m about 24 min in now, and the trend continues; I’m focusing on the bass line.
Cool you guys! And thank you Rhubot for your huge patience for a very long tune that I know few will be able to endure. I’m very self conscious about this one just because it is such a long piece. It’s like I was hypo-manic for quite a few months while I wrote and produced it, so I only hope that it works for some folks who are willing to put up with a certified maniac. My diagnosis is schizoaffective disorder by the way, and I think that the benefits of the disorder shine through this piece as well as the drawbacks.
Oh, I’m at 41 minutes, that was beautiful.
I really liked the bit at around 29 a lot. I agree with you about the polarity really shining through. I was thinking about that a lot while I was listening even before you mentioned it, that at times it feels manic, at others darker and more controlled. I’m depressive myself, and I was speculating on how much that drives my preferences, even for instruments themselves.
Very impressive, I hope you share more.
