they were working on the sewers behind my apartment complex and cut the cable wire. So I was without cable and Internet for over a week. There is a LOT of threads. Can everyone give me an update of what’s going on?
What do you like to watch on cable? Never mind I don’t have cable I have a digital receiver and get free TV. They say a lot of people are turning to this free digital reception because there is not anything really good on cable most of the day.
I used to skip checking in for days then weeks, then months.
Then I go and live my life until the next crisis.
I’d literally go insane without Internet for more than a week. I need my online fix every day actually… @shutterbug thinks there is some trolling going on, haven’t posted in the last week, no topic caught my eye…

Actually a lot of the channels that I watch I get with my digital receiver in my bedroom. I watch Blue Bloods, Flashpoint, Numbers, Law and Order SVU. What I really missed was the Internet , I was used to checking the forum five times a day, and recently had started a conversation with a member on pm, in fact I was talking to her when they broke the wire. @ekoms I agree when my social security disability goes through and my pay is lowered I will be getting rid of cable but I will find a way to budget Internet .
I get those channels too. I heard some news not to long ago that they are going to try and charge people for digital channels. I only hope it’s real affordable.
I water proofed my digital antennas with 100 % silicon calking and put them on a tall length of a fence pole in the back yard near the house so I can turn them in the right direction to get the best reception.
I bought indoor digital antennae that attach to the windows. It only cost me $18.00 and picks up 31 channels on a good day, 14 on a bad.
yeah that’s how I tried it at first like they said in the instructions but I am getting way many more channels having it outside up high. I am getting 55 channels where I was getting only 20 inside. I get all the major sporting events such as the… Supper Bowel,…and the World Series, NBA Championship matches Golf and The big NASCAR races and so on but they stopped giving Monday Night Football . Lots of good foreign news shows on after 4:00pm. I had been useing just the old aireal antennas before digital came out. I had cable at one point but it got too exspensive.
