I don’t really watch too much tv besides netflix and amazon prime. I just don’t like commercials so I refuse to watch most network tv.

Good luck… They like to lock you in for 2-4 years promising no increase for about half of your contract… Our bill went from 60 a month to almost triple for the second half… I let the bill go… And now we pay 40 for internet 5 or 6 for Netflix… If sports is what you like ESPN may offer a monthly fee for a subscription… Like HBO does… It seems internet + monthly commercial free subscriptions is massively cheaper… With no up charges and locked in contracts…

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I have gone without cable for years and I can tell you the truth that I didn’t really miss too much.
My mom has it a her house, but I refuse to get it.
My Father has cable.
I basically like it for the News programs.
I watch a lot of CNN.

I have Cox Cable in the US and they are very expensive but have good and fast internet connection. I have the cable, internet and home phone plan.
My wife watches a lot of TV. I have HBO too. My wife’s favorite show used to be True Blood. It was a vampire show set in Louisiana (where we are from). The show got cancelled but I still haven’t cancelled the HBO. I hope she watches it still.
I got 2 RCA flat panel antennas hooked up to a signal splitter in reverse to combine signals from both into 1 stronger signal and its hooked up to a long cable to keep it away from TV interference and I get over 30 channels. any brand flat panel antenna is better, they’re based on military technology where the army had antennas on trucks hidden in mudflaps.
I tried the regular rabbit ears and amplified antennas and an amplifier for the flat panel antennas but without an amplifier is better.
I invested so I would never need cable.

My Dad has Direct TV (satellite) and I enjoy it. I went a couple years without TV though and I was fine. I watched Amazon prime, Netflix and YouTube.
We have a cable bundle … TV (for my wife), internet for both of us, and phone. It is very convenient, fast, and quite expensive.
I have cable and the neighbor lets me use one of their netflix accounts, cable is included in my lot rental, and I have about 1200 vhs movies to watch, I get them for free so never short of things to watch
