So I talked with my doc. He seemed very skeptical that Caplyta would be covered. I told him I called them and that they said that it would but he had to send in an authorization. He said ok and called it in. Then I called the pharmacy and they told me they would send him paperwork for an auth.
I’m very anxious that this will somehow not work out. I have bad luck Anyways I’m to continue on Abilify 20mg even if the Caplyta does go through. I’m supposed to take both and then we will talk about it in 4 weeks. I just want less side effects I’m really hoping this will all work out.
Yeah you’re right. I am going to follow up and call them to make sure they’re progressing with the paperwork.
Did your doc mention that sometimes you have to try other meds before insurance will let you try a newer med? I saw your posts on Caplyta and was wondering. The insurance company only told me they need an OK from him regarding diagnosis.
Keep us updated! I tried Caplyta and didn’t really like it. But it could have been a too low dose for me. I’m on Vraylar. I want to try Caplyta + Vraylar but the doctor insists I try 12 mg of Vraylar first before moving forward.
I’m on InVega clozarill clonazepam and benztrophine. I want to try caplyta. I usually don’t experience side effects to bad except with haldol which I can’t take because it makes my muscles spasm. I’m gonna ask my doctor for it to
The doctor must file pre authorization for it The caplyta, but I am sure it will be covered for you. it is a very nice medication from what I have recently read about it.
