Inositol for fear?

The powder is inositol. Sorry for the confusion @anon57786250 @nfy

Let us know how it goes if you take it before your pdoc apt, Iā€™m interested in taking it and would have to ask my pdoc bc I donā€™t like taking something that has all this hype online then it turns into a dudd

Per online recommendations from many different sites for panic disorder I took 12 grams of the powder inositol. I am already feeling calmer. I donā€™t feel sick or weird. My husband takes it for anxiety and the only side effect he has from it is fatigue. I canā€™t afford to buy that much inositol so I need the dr to prescribe me something like buspar or propranolol or something. They refuse to prescribe benzos where I go.

I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever get unprescribed a benzo, they want me on it. Crazy how with the same illness, docs can be totally different. But benzos help me with psychotic nightmares that Iā€™ve had since a child, and even though my recall memory sucks, my bf said my artwork I do often is amazing and is only getting better so he said I have to look at my strengths. Benzos are both a blessing and a curse.

Maybe I can get that powder and be on a miniscule dose of benzo thoughā€¦ Iā€™ll have to ask my pdoc next week

I could be wrong but I think inositol touches serotonin, whereas benzos touch on GABA. Both are calming but different receptors.

@FatMama if youā€™re on an AD, careful so you dont get Serotonin Syndrome.

Oh my invega already touches serotonin.

I probably couldnā€™t function well without klonopin.
It keeps me from getting overstimulated by my senses.
Plus it keeps me calm.
I take a small dose, but Iā€™ve been on it for 13 years almost.
Iā€™ll probably take it for life.
It doesnā€™t cause me to have cognitive problems that others report.

I had some paranoia today, kept looking out the windows and pacing around the house.

0.5 and it all vanished.

Thatā€™s the dose I take.

I donā€™t leave the house much partly because Iā€™m not safe and partly because a lot of stimulation stresses me out. My home is calm and quiet. I wonder how Iā€™d do on a benzo. Iā€™m guessing Iā€™d get used to the dosage really quick like I do with APs and then I always need high doses.

Iā€™ve never had tolerance issues with klonopin.
Itā€™s not like xanax that only lasts a little while.
It lasts me all day and has a very long half life.

I didnā€™t know they could do that. I still worry about developing tolerance though. But maybe theyā€™re so different from APs that wouldnā€™t be s problem

Some people do, some donā€™t.
Klonopin doesnā€™t have the high like ativan or xanax.
Years ago pdocs used it as a mood stabilizer, some still might

I like my Lorazepam also. It is helpful. :beetle::beetle::beetle:

Xanax doesnā€™t give me a high at all. I donā€™t see why anyone would buy it on the street. If I donā€™t have anxiety they donā€™t do anything for me. Of course I take the lowest dose you can take and only take one a day. My wife has a friend though who is always asking us for Xanax. Thatā€™s the only med I donā€™t have extra of because my wife and my sister in law will steal it from me.

When I quit Geodon cold turkey a couple months ago I had a whole bunch of extra anxiety and my doctor gave me .5s of Klonopin. I only took one of them. I still have the whole bottle left. She said Klonopin lasted longer than Xanax. I still preferred the .25 mg of Xanax. It really helps my anxiety. The Klonopin was okay but I donā€™t have a use for it anymore.
