In 2019, more Americans went to the library than the movies. Yes, really

Makes sense, my kids go to library about weekly for video games and movies. My daughter is waiting for a specific book for her series, only 1 in the state has a copy and the list is huge.

Last movie I saw in theaters was Jurassic World I think. The first of the new set, so holy crap, years ago. That was one of our wedding anniversaries. Before that last movie was Iron Man, lol.

I wonder how many people went to the library to illegally download movies using the library’s IP address.

I just don’t like the smell of old books. I would rather read online. Besides, it’s really hard for me to read, physically hard for me to read. I’ve had 5 eye surgeries and my eyes don’t track well when I’m reading most books. But for some reason I do better reading the computer. I’ve been thinking about looking into a kindle or something like that to see if I can read better, then I could read ebooks. That would be great.

I’ve been in the library here a few times with a granddaughter and gt granddaughter. It’s been to have stories read to the gt granddaughter .

I’ve not taken a book out of the library for over 5 years . Certainly at least 3 years before I moved to Wiltshire in Sept 2017 .

The reason for that being libraries going self service .

I’m glad people are using libraries, but I am a librarian.
