And does it help to get out alone? I go to my pharmacy a lot.
I used to go to local neighborhood coffee shops when I lived in NYC.
Less so when I lived in LA, but I went to the movies A LOT.
I haven’t found a place here (S. FL). Then again, I haven’t exactly looked around. Maybe I should.
I hate the library. I never want to go back there again. I like going to get coffee around downtown but hate how expensive it is.
Right now I go to Walmart, the Dollar Tree, a few thrift stores, and sometimes the library.
I consider part of the price of coffee and other stuff there to be given the right to sit there awhile. I hate Starbucks coffee, it’s too bitter.!
I do all that once a week, when we go to town. The rest of the time I’m holed up in my room
Go to your library! Most of the time librarians and helpful and really want to be of service.
I like our library reading the newspapers. Coffeshops would be nice but a daily coffee adds up on the bill.
I don’t go to coffee shops because they are a waste of money for me. I do like to go to the libary occasionally, but I am doing it less to avoid The Rona.
I go to the library to write letters by hand and not to read. It is a noisy library, if I were to read there I’d be the only one, it is filled with students on laptops. I can draw if I want. Back in the nineteen fifties I could get kicked out of the library for drawing, lol. Today people eat lunch there. It varies across the nation.
I cook and serve lunch at mine in the summer for 18-30 kids.
I can’t read at all in libraries. I have difficulty filtering out noises and distractions in my immediate environment. I find them too loud, even when they’re not. I like to go in, peruse the DVDs for odd movies, and take them home to watch. You have to dodge homeless people in the libraries in the large city next to me as they kind of take them over.
I don’t really go to coffee shops or libraries.
Does the pool count? It’s a public place.
I go to the library, to coffee shops. But I usually don’t stay very long.
I used to go to the library but I only found one book that I really thought about reading…I bought it so I can finish it one day…I put down reading for a while but it’s the foundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov. I go to the grocery store, pharmacy (two of them), walmart, and home to visit my family about four times a year.
In the cold winter time it’s hard to find places to go this is a given I find myself hanging out at the local Kwik shops getting gas and pop between running people back and forth to work I asked them the same question you did some of them go walking in the morning at the sports arena some go to the Y to work out the library is a place where young people hang out that have not much of a life I find the coffee shop or for lovers or want to bees it’s peaceful there to read books
