Not really sure where this belongs. Sorry.
Do any of you know which countries you can immigrate to if you’re disabled? Are there any? I’m having a hard time finding information. Thanks.

All I know is that immigration is STRESSFUL. Wishing you the best.
I have looked into this, too! It is tricky because generally many countries want the immigrant to know someone in the host country, or have a job ready, or both.
I once emailed Sweden or one of those countries about sponsoring my immigration due to disability (when I was afraid that ACA and medicare would be stripped and I’d have no access to Abilify) and they were like no. They said that was not a reason to file for asylum or to immigrate and they would not accept me without knowing someone in the country and also having a job prepared. they said a refugee is a refugee due to race or armed conflicts, not because your life is endangered due to not having medicine.
a part of me wants to move to another country, but I can’t find a job overseas at the moment and also it’d be a hassle trying to find out how to get medicine in another country. I’d still do it though! Good luck!
I once thought about moving to Ireland on their medical or dental exchange program. I made a lot of friends when I went to study abroad, it’s such a fun and cozy place to live. Now I have no choice but to live near my parents which is in Hawaii…
I’m not sure they can discriminate based on disability. Not sure any country can?
They definitely can and many (most) do.
Doesn’t make it not super shitty of them, but they do.
Yes, absolutely they do.
You wouldn’t be eligible for Canada. Sorry.
yeah when I immigrated, I had to do so many tests … Unfortunately I started having symptoms just in the beginning of moving here … It was a disaster. They even check family illness history. Took a lot of work, dedication to actually get here. I am glad though certain people helped me in the beginning but i got so ill. It is tough
I’ve often wanted to immigrate to Mexico. But, I don’t know how I would get my medications while there, and that’s why I haven’t gone yet. I know people there. I have family there. What I don’t have is a job. They have nationalized health care there. I don’t know if that would apply to me or not. My father was a Mexican citizen. He had dual citizenship in Mexico and the U.S. I have income that I could get coming to me in Mexico if I were to go there. How do I find out about medication availability in Mexico? I guess I could Google it.
Interested in this topic, as well as the peripheral topic of getting gainful employment in the place of desired locale.

Do u want to move led…???
@far_cry0 You plan on immigrating to North America?
Haha nope i am suffering man…!!!
Immigrating to usa is expensive, difficult, and who knows what the people at the offices feel like about you.
I don’t know. Maybe? My sister is about to move to Kenya, and it’s made me a little restless. I don’t know. I just feel stuck and like nothing is ever going to change if I don’t change something, you know?
What about ur husband is he supporting u…
That sucks. I want to move to a different county every day
He is. He also wants to move. But a lot of what I’m finding it saying it doesn’t matter if he can support me or not. Granted, that’s mostly coming from personal stories that I’m finding various places and not official policies or anything, but still.
