I felt really off the yesterday and today. Coincidently, I stopped taking l-theanine as I felt it no longer helped my anxiety.
So either:
I was going through l-theanine withdrawal
It was helping in other ways even though it wasn’t really helping with anxiety
Both of the above.
I suspect the answer might be 3.
I’ve just taken 400mg of l-theanine again now, so will see what effect that has.
I was experiencing mild confusion (really mild) and mild dizziness, and trouble thinking straight.

I love l-theanine. Might take some now, after my poppy seed tea

I took it for a while, at first I thought it actually made me relax. Then I started taking it almost daily, and I couldn’t tell if it was working anymore, and my anxiety returned. I probably built a tolerance or something. Eventually I stopped taking it.

Same here, after a while it lost its effectiveness

Well, after taking it, the mild confusion went away as did the mild dizziness .
I was taking 800mg of l-theanine supplement a day for about a year, so I think I might have run into some withdrawal issue by stopping it cold turkey.
I’ll try tapering off it instead of going cold turkey and see how that goes.
