As pathetic as it sounds, these visits are basically the most important times in my life now. Today I’m going to tell him that I have cut my antipsychotic dose in half and am hoping he will take that well. I have known him to react badly, hospitalizing me or trying to put me on injections and other things. Fingers crossed that he won’t react badly to this. I am going to talk to him about the possibility of me being in psychotic remission, and maybe even reducing abilify further or discontinuing it all together. I want to see if I am able to function better off a stable antipsychotic regimen or on a lower dose. It has almost been 3 years since I developed sz, and we both have a very good understanding of the patterns of my illness. Hopefully we can work together to decide exactly what we should do with the meds going forward. Hopefully he doesn’t overreact to my announcement! I’ll probably update this thread in a couple hours with the news of our plan!

he reacted very well! nowwere going down to 2.5 mg abilify. hopefully the transition goes good. this is a big jump for me, ill need a lot of support from the forum during this transition. so expect to see me on here frequently.
