I keep fixating on my diagnosis. And its depressing me
It is a very good point of view…
That understandable considering the site called Schizophrina.com, but I’m mainly here to help me accept the possibility that I have a major mental illness.
Take a break and see if that helps
@anon15119022 , what’s your diagnosis?
Many people here have been prompting you to make positive changes in your life, but you either make excuses for why you can’t make the changes or you ignore the suggestions entirely. Then you resurface again a day or two later with more complaints. I suspect not much will change for you if you stop coming here other than you lose a source of support. Everyone here would like to see you enjoying your life more.
They kept changing it first it was psychosis then schizophrenia then psychosis again
Im trying to be a different person now.
You’ll always be you, just try to be a more positive version of yourself. Have you looked at self-help therapy books? There are some great ones on Amazon.
Yes i will have a look
Im sorry for being so negative. I dont want to be like that. I guess i feel like im neglecting the positives and fixating on the negative
It’s so good to hear you wanting to be more positive @anon15119022 . And willing to try out some advice given.
I wish you good luck and success whether you remain here or not.
Negativity such an easy cycle to get trapped in and it feels almost impossible to get out once you’re there. It can be done! Just start with one change at a time. Find one thing to be positive about. Once you can do that consistently find a second thing. Then keep going.
