I’m not ready to die yet so I’m putting it off. It’s something I’ll have to do eventually if I want a Bahai funeral. I’ve got the money saved so that’s not a worry. Just not the right time.
Do you have someone you are close to and that you trust, that you can let know what your funeral wishes are? That way youve got your wishes understood in case you dont make the arrangements yourself
Yes, I have friends who are giving me the information I need. They just advised me to hold off for awhile. There’s still a lilttle fight left in me.
Make a list of little things you want and that you can do now that make you happy. Treat yourself guilt free. You need that in your life at this time. Everyday do something or think about something that makes you smile. When you are ready, then you can focus on sad to-do lists.
It’s great you’ve got fight left in you. I second doing good things for yourself each day, and thinking about things that make you smile. You’ve earned it.
I understand.
I’m hitting 54 this year and last couple of years have kept up an insurance policy on a funeral. I don’t want to be a burden so burn me and have a party. I have a brother I’ve told to deal with it. I’m gone so it’s no drama to me.
It scares me though to be honest. I Like life and living and to think that will be gone is pretty profound when your realising it daily.
To quote the old Aussie bushranger. " Such is LIfe"
I’ve told everyone in my family that I want to be cremated in case something would happen to me.
I don’t have any other wishes.
I will have money left in my home
Might gift it to the local college
Would want it to pay scholarships to people until it runs out
Perhaps to those without high school qualifications who took an adult course like I did
If they have MH issues I think it would help them a lot
@PinCushion sorry you have to think about this…I hope you live a long time.
