I love my hair but it is disappearing.
I’m not really into biotin.
Any other suggestions from reading or experience?
It started as soon as I went on abilify and sped up on my current higher dose.

Hi long time.
I had used this minoxidil
But it triggered sever delusion and hallucinations.
So stopped it an in two weeks time I was back to square one.
Try aloe vera plant grown in your space…
Its really good and you can use its leaf gel and apply to your scalp.
It will boost the pores with oxygen and hair lose will be at the minimal.

Thankyou. I can’t afford aloe Vera fresh. But aloe Vera shampoo with lots of aloe Vera in it is a good idea.

Sooo apparently avocados and tomatoes are a good source of biotin which stimulates hair growth.
And then I’ll buy aloe Vera shampoo.
Also I’m using a spaced out comb to try and reduce how much hair cones out.
And minimal hair washing.
Considering reducing AP dose too. At some point.
But need to be careful as I became psychotic so much last year on low dose.

Minoxidil works, but you need to apply it for the rest of your life. I stopped caring about it. I´m considering maybe a hair transplant later in life.

I lost a lot of hair on ablilfy.
I’m trying to regrow that hair now with these vitamins, Nutrafol.
I’ve been on it a couple weeks and already noticed that I lose less hair when I brush and wash.

I don’t mind balding men, but me having thinning hair as a woman is really stressful. Hair makes me feel womanly. Don’t worry about it too much. That’s interesting that minoxidil actually works.
I’m not into medication too much though.

I’m a man and am not particularly thrilled about the balding spot on the top of my head either. Most men would prefer to have a full head of hair , as well. Maybe a little more troubling to some women, but it’s no bed of roses for most men either.

My hairline when I part my hair in the middle is not looking great. If I took a photo from above its defo noticeable.
It’s saddens me lol.

Unless my hair is brushed just right, I can see a very thin almost bald spot on the top of my head. Fortunately, I am getting older and caring less what I look like. If I was in my 20’s or 30’s it might bother me more. One good thing about us older people.

I have a huge bald spot on the back of my head.
I just embrace it.
Legend has it that bald men are good in the sack.

My hair falls out like crazy but grows fast. It’s thinned a bit over the years.

I have lost a crap ton of hair too i think a combo of abilify and taking testosterone as a AFAB person. Im on finasteride now and it helps

Yeah it´s more troublesome for woman for sure. I think medication would be the only option idk, you can contact a dermatologist. But I seriously doubt aloe vera will make a difference.
Edit: you can search on youtube the results of minoxidil, they are astonishing. The only thing that didn´t let me continue is the regularity of the treatment (it´s kinda like taking care of orthodontics for the rest of your life tbh)

Hm I’m bit suspicious of it tbh.
My sibling takes biotin but I’m also suspicious of that.
I think I will just alter my diet to contain more biotin and vitamins c.
I feel aloe Vera may help too. We can agree to disagree I suppose.
But thanks it’s interesting to know there’s something that really does help hair growth.
Tbh worst comes to worst I will shave it all off.
But I think if I lower the dose later things will grow back. As they have done in the past, I think.
