My hair has been thinning a lot recently

I’m not feeling super about this.

I’ve decided I will reduce my medication dose in 2 months, under the supervision and APPROVAL of my psychiatrist.

I will halve the dose.

This hair loss is heartbreaking.

Change meds and use rogaine for 3 months u be fine

There is some relationship with hair and sz because for hair loss I used minoxidil and there was severe hallucinations it was so worse that I had to get a quick check up.

I tried many things like aloe vera gel from the plant or any oil for that matter my sinusitis increased.

I’m gonna give up on my aloe Vera shampoo and get herbal essence… So much better

Try using essential oils… rosemary oil… a classmate said garlic shampoo is good for thinning hair… there is one that is unscented.

@Zoe ,I think that fact that you also have facial hair,points to high testosterone.

I still believe it’s the aripiprazole as once I went on it, my first time in shower I had a lot of hair fall out for first time.

In addition to working with your pdoc you might want to also contact your primary care physician about your hair loss. There are a variety of causes of thinning hair so it’s possible the hair loss is due to something other than your AP.

I can do that but I’m pretty confident it’s the aripiprazole. As soon as I went on aripiprazole, my hair started to fall out and when I was on a much lower dose for 3 years or so, it was not as thin I think.

I lost lots of hair, I have a big bald spot. Its not the meds though, I think its genetic for me or low testosterone.
