Im considering TMS

Someone on here mentioned they have had it and it helped them. I’m watching videos and it seems to help a majority of people who have tried it.

to be honest I secretly hope it helps me time travel

Are you depressed? I thought it was for treatment resistant. Not sure you’d get benefit from it otherwise ??

I’ve had 6 sessions so far, and someone else here has had it as well, and for them, it was very successful. I’m SZA, bipolar type, and my depression is treatment resistant. In some studies, they found it can slightly alleviate sz negative symptoms, as well, and in some studies, it said it doesn’t.

I will keep everyone posted if I start to feel better in a few weeks.

Too much sugar… just kidding Transcranial magnetic stimulation.

That sounds a little like ECT. Is it similar to that?

Electro convulsive therapy puts your body into convulsions. In TMs they put a magnet on your head. Quite different!

It is not the same. ECT is not good. :crocodile::crocodile::crocodile:

It doesn’t give you a seizure, like ECT. The magnet sends pulses into the brain to stimulate the dormant part that’s causing depression. A little uncomfortable, no bad side effects like ECT, no anesthesia like ECT. I drive myself there and back. The only downside is you have to go every day for 7 weeks. Appointment/treatment is short, though.

What does it cost? Would insurance pay for it?

My insurance pays for it.

Without insurance, it’s $600/session.
