Yeah I think I’m going to do it… why not… it’s just 5 minutes of pleasure and then feeling jittery anyway.
I love coffee. But me too, it just makes me anxious. Although i feel really tired if i dont drink it. I just bought caffeinated soda and have a lot of problems just drinking one soda. I end up having 3 or 4. All that caffeine makes me feel like im gonna have a heart attack
Yeah that’s cause your body is dependent on it. I’m guessing if you quit after a while your natural energy levels will start to return.
I cut back but still have problems with energy and anxiety and focus anyway.
But there’s some good alternatives like:
But they are quite expensive. Chicory Root is hard to find in the store too without coffee added.
But I like it more than coffee because its also acid free.
Good luck quitting! I may need to be more patient with cutting it out myself. But only sources I get now are cocoa mostly.
I also only get 4 to 5 hours of sleep. So that doesnt help
It might help. You could try Crystal lit instead of pop, and herbal tea instead of coffee. Herbal tea has no caffeine but other teas do so just watch for that.

edit: I might consider quitting nicotine also after a while, but we’ll see. Caffeine first.

Do you use nicotine? I consider quitting it too… just to live a more “clean” life if that makes sense. I think it definitely does something to the mind as well.
I quit smoking and all nicotine I believe 7 years ago. It definitely helped take the edge off from my paranoia.
That’s nice. I quit nicotine for some months over a year ago… it definitely helped me have more energy and better mental health… but I started again in a moment of stress.
That’s ok. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Just try to quit again. You did it before, so you definitely can do it again
Yeah lit might be worth it or just cut out the energy drinks and have 1 coffee a day in the morning before 12 with no suger added that is what i sometimes do or i occasionally drink decaf coffee
I need coffee and caffeine to battle depression. Else I have even less energy.
So I woke up today and really wanted coffee. I have a brewed coffee ready to drink… I wanted to quit but, like… I don’t want the day to suck because of withdrawals… maybe I can taper slowly.
Well at least I’ve cut down from 2 cokes to 1.
Good work, challenges towards self-control and dicipline are important. These kind of challenges lead to a better well-being.
