Halved my caffeine consumption and I'm noticing a difference

I’m calmer, my mind is sort of slowed down and doesn’t race as much. I went from 2 teaspoons to 1 teaspoon instant coffee and it’s helped for anxiety.

During the withdrawals the anxiety was worse for a couple of days though. I’m gonna taper off slowly from here on, maybe aiming to be caffeine free in 5-6 weeks.

I definitely recommend reducing or eliminating caffeine completely for anyone who struggle with anxiety / racing thoughts. It may help.

Today I’ve decided to quit caffeine at least temporarily and see if I notice any improvements. I think I get racing thoughts and I don’t know if it’s the caffeine or Bupropion or both. I also want to see if I sleep better. If those two things don’t improve then I’ll start drinking coffee and tea again.

I once bought decaffeinated instant coffee by mistake. I didn’t know it until 2 or 3 weeks later. I was feeling like crap all the time lol.

I think it will definitely help some with racing thoughts, the question is how much. My OCD thoughts gets much less off caffeine. Good luck!

It’s about a week since I started reducing and I definitely feel better. Soon I’m going to start tapering down even further to zero.

I tried quitting many times, but I end up sluggish and demotivated if I take nothing.

Currently I have 1 cup of green tea daily.

We are all different though, maybe stopping completely is good for you.

How long did you quit for? For some people it can take months to get back to normal after quitting.

Anyway, it helps with my anxiety. I’d rather take sluggishness over anxiety lol.

Btw do you happen to know if there’s caffeine in Solo Super? I’m trying to find a good caffeine free soda.

I’m not sure. I think I went over a month without one time. I get depressed too taking nothing.

I went about a month without any coffee or caffeine at the end of 2013. I don’t remember noticing any difference.
