I'm 38 years old. Am I too young to get a funeral plan and pay in instalments?

Yes. You should wait until age 50.

Getting life insurance, even burial insurance, is very expensive if you have sz/a. Your premium may be unaffordable, so you may want to look into that. It may be less expensive to set aside a small amount of money each month, preferably in a high-yield savings account.

To be honest, and hopefully not too brutal or insensitive on my part, but its never too early to plan. Im a few years your younger, but Ive said goodbye to many a bloke in our age range who was otherwise fit and well. And I genuinely say that from experience, not to try mess you up mate. I got mine sorted out a few years back, and Ive almost died twice in that time.
