For me honestly, I’d want $700 a month. My symptoms are not that bad. I feel I’m handicapped and should be paid for assistance, but not so severely debilitated in terms of quality of life.

Apply for ssi or ssdi.

I’m thinking I want to get a part time job. I was denied disability, but I do get $700 a month in welfare and food stamps.

the illness takes money from you in my opinion. you have to pay $2k a month in lost income.

Hits you in your teenage, early twenties for most…your time to establish yourself in careers.

I was prodromal till 29 so a lot of jobs. I was a great worker but I always came unstuck. That really sucks.

Starting at the bottom isn’t easy when your over 30!

Schizophrenia is not a job since the disease affects people 24/7 unlike a full-time job where you work only 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week. Having schizophrenia is equivalent to those who are in wheelchairs or people who don’t have all four limbs and must be supported by the government since they cannot provide for themselves.

But if there was a unrealistic value in a schizophrenic occupation, it would be 500,000 shares of a fortune 500 public traded company such as Amazon, Google, Facebook or Apple paying dividends of at least a $1.
