If a 3 trillion dollars were to be given for a cure of Schizophrenia

Would any more or different attempts be made to cure it?

maybe if google did something similar to SpaceX… but with neuroscience in mind we’d get a lot of fresh ideas.

Yes I do

Maybe if the government/aliens/pots and pans would stop trying to control our minds, we wouldn’t have to spend so much money on research for a cure. :joy:

I would spend 1 trillion on 3 diff ideas…1st probably harmonic rebalancing egyptians used this for a ridiculous amount of stuff…2nd dna we have empty slots for upgrades…focus on isolating the problem and coming up with something that cancels it out…and the 3rd trillion into med development working hand in hand to compliment the other 2…

The problem with finding cures I’d it doesn’t generate as much profit as treatments do.

And you pointed out the largest flaw in modern history…this is the reason we still use chemo and cough syrup…its a cash cow that no one wants to give up…not releasing cures and instead giving us treatments should be a crime against humanity…

I think the government doesn’t want people to know just how little is understood about sz. 150 years from now they will look back and be in awe of how in the dark we were. So yes, more $=more time researching

It’s quite depressing. I believe there’s a cure out there for cancer but sadly greed is too powerful

I don’t believe there will ever be a cure for schizophrenia. It’s too complex an affliction involving genetics…environment…upbringing…trauma…etc.

They’ll just find better meds with less side effects down the road, I suppose.

no if 3 trillion dollars was available to find a cure the drug companies , especially the drug companies that deal in anti psychotic medications now the largest selling type of medication in the US netting 16 billion a year , will spend every dime of their own money if need be to make sure there isnt a cure to keep the mental illness maintenance industry alive (like they do now but with even more aggressive tactics if their was a real threat to the industry)

3 trillion dollars would allow me to make one hell of a dent in my negative symptoms. Just sayin’.

Maybe not but there will always be people needing a cure and even if there was a vaccine you’d probably need periodic booster shots.

For 3 trillion dollars I could take eccentricity to new heights.

Well everybody does…:key2:

I don’t think we have the technology to do that no matter how much money we spend on it. We don’t have all the circuitry of the brain mapped out. We might in the future. There was a time they thought they could “cure” schizophrenia with a frontal lobotomy. Let’s not go back to that.

You’d probably have to belong to the toxoplasmosis camp for that
