I wonder if the sertraline triggered depression in me!

I wonder if sertraline triggered my psychotic episode. I wasn’t sleeping eating and locking myself in my room. Feeling groggy  most of the time too. I wonder if it was depression … and that my delusions were incongruent (means delusions of grandeur even when depressed). He didn’t specify I have bipolar but a mood disorder.

I’ve told you before @anon25873142
Antidepressants are well known for triggering mania and psychosis in bipolar and Schizoaffective patients.

Antidepressants have also triggered psychosis in non mentally ill people.

I’m sorry I keep bringing it up like you said before I may never know but I hate the uncertainty.

I’m no doctor @anon25873142 but it’s a well known fact that antidepressants can trigger mania and psychosis in those people afflicted with a mood disorder, Schizoaffective included.
My first psychotic episode was triggered by an antidepressant during the 1990s.
Google it if your having a hard time believing it.
Or better yet discuss it with your psychiatrist.
I personally would stay away from antidepressants if I were you.

Vraylar isn’t an antidepressant but it’s an antipsychotic with strong antidepressant properties and even that made me manic and psychotic.
I was involuntarily committed to a psych hospital twice for 2 weeks in 2016.

You’ve got to be careful with meds which act as antidepressants also.

@anon25873142 you also have to be careful with stimulants or stimulating meds or drugs.
For me ADHD meds are a no no.

These can trigger mania and psychosis also.
