Not everyone probably saw this, but on the news it showed a group of police that this old guy walked up to. One of the policemen shoved the old guy, and he fell back and hit his head. I don’t think that policeman intended for that guy to fall like that. Most old people lose a lot of their balance as they get older. They sure looked cavalier when they walked past him as he lay in a pool of blood on the sidewalk.
Where was this at?
Somewhere in New York. Not New York City, but one of the other cities.
I’m not sure. They played the film clip several times on the national news shows, but I didn’t check.
it was in buffalo.
I agree, I don’t think they expected him to cartoonishly lock up and just fall like a sack of potatoes.
I saw it on TV 2 or 3 days ago.
Yes. As older people age their balance gets bad. It looked kind of contrived the way this guy took a few steps back and then fell, but that is the way old people often fall.
Well, being suddenly shoved by two policemen more than 30 years younger than him was what caused the old man to fall. I doubt that impaired balance had much to do with it. The two policeman have been charged with felony assault.
It didn’t look to me like it was a shove intended to make someone fall down. Old people have really bad balance. What I didn’t like is that they just walked past him while he was lying bleeding on the ground.
It might just have been a nice cop caught up in the moment and should have taken into account that the guy was old. Or it could have been a mean cop who should have been more careful. I agree that it was very unfeeling and callous for the cops to walk past a bleeding old man. At the very least, every cop in that immediate vicinity should have been charged for violating the “Good Samaritan” law, if that state has it.
This just goes to show you we got fascist cops and others alot of time. Some seem to feel no remorse for their actions. And, it’s not at all just a black problem as it’s being portrayed right now by media. But, if the whites aren’t going to complain as much, that’s how it’s going to be I guess. I’ve always felt pretty powerless to stand up against the fascists myself.
Uh, whites don’t usually get singled out for abuse in this country for the color of their skin. At least not as much as black people.
I’m not denying the blacks get targeted more. Though whites have been killed twice as much. So, I don’t deny there is racism, just that there is fascism very much too which isn’t being addressed as much. I guess eveybody likes to deny it exists in America. I’ve had my own run-ins with fascist cops.
Big business in the US is very left leaning. Just saying.
It don’t matter. Fascists exiist on both sides. If we just focus on rascism, your’e missing half the boat.
True.
Fascism is usually depicted as right wing though. I assumed you meant that.
Typically, maybe that’s where most of it comes from, but it’s obvious to me that it’s on the left and right. It’s pretty much bullcrap to be like," I’m on the left, I’m not at all fascist." Many on the right believe the left are the fascists, but then you have people like Trump who are like “let’s bring the full force of the military on the people”. But, in my case I’ve always seen the fascism on both sides. Making this purely a racial issue, just deflects from the root problem.
In lieu of writing a long reply, I’ll just say that the requirements to be a police officer need to be more demanding. Consequently, the salary needs to increase.
Also, I’d like to see a return to large-scale community policing. My father was a cop. He walked a beat. Everyone in the community knew him, and he knew everyone in the community. He wasn’t a cop, he was Bill.
Most cops knows what they are doing and who they working for
Some say they like causing destructions in black community
