Speak with your doctor about this. Some meds are safer than others for pregnancy. Some women on here have had successful pregnancies with healthy children while on haldol, risperidone, or olanzipine. For some people, the stress of going without meds is more damaging to the baby than staying on a low dose of medication. For other women, their doctors recommend stopping all meds. Whatever you do, discuss it with your doctor so you can have a safety plan in place.

I stopped my medications for a year and basically ended up back in the psychiatric ward. Discuss with your doctor before stopping any medications.

I’m currently on medicine at a very low dose, just 2.5mg abilify with 100mg seroquel as needed. Talk to your doctor about your options, it’s different for everyone. I’m not pregnant or expecting, so I can’t help you there. I’m also still early in my withdrawal from the meds, it takes a while for them to get out of your system.

I stayed on haldol while pregnant and breastfeeding and have a very healthy and smart kid. It’s a good option if you want to stay on meds.
