How come? I’m on 10mg abilify. Used to be on 5mg but I cross tapered from paliperidone depot to abilify only.
I feel the restlessness comes from the higher dose , although it might be just me

Has the doctor offered any medication to deal with it? I have procycladine for my restlessness from paliperidone and it sort of helps.

No I didn’t mention the side effects to them I only asked if I can have the dose reduced because of my weight.i wouldn’t be upset if they said no but worth a shot.

I’ve just started 10mg, I hope it improves my tiredness, I used to be on 15mg.

I’ve been from 15mg down to 2.5mg
I find that nothing made a difference to my side effects, majorly, until I came down to the 2.5mark.
Maybe it will be different for u.

5mg of Abilify doesn’t have much of an antipsychotic effect
If you want to remain stable and stay out of the hospital then I would stick with 10mg
10mg is considered a low dose

I was on 5mg for almost a year when I first started. My mood changes meant I had to increase it in the end but it still worked for my psychosis. Everyone’s chemistry is different.

2.5mg sounds like it’s unattainable for me 
but Im glad you found a dose that works for you.

Yeh tbh I’m playing a bit of a risky game
In 2022, I had about 3 relapses on this dose of 2.5mg.
However, I managed to go back into remission on all 3 occasions within a week.
This makes me want to stick on that dose for the sake of less side effects.

Do you have any emotional bluntness on that dose?
I’m dealing with that symptom now and I’m hoping my change from paliperidone to abilify helps with it

I’m not sure I think I may have a flat affect but could be autism related or sz related.

I had emotional fatness all the way from 15mg to 5mg
On 2.5mg I finally got a considerable amount of relief from that kill joy side effect

I use it for depression
