It’s an aching need I feel although I realize it is making a child of myself. How can you help it?

How is that making you childlike? It’s perfectly normal for a grown adult to want to be loved. It feels good to have someone interested in you.

I feel like such a dope because I went for my father. A very real Electra complex here. Mother didn’t put her foot down about Dad and I. It fogged up my desire for a man for myself. No confidence.

As one mother said to her young daughter “You know how I feel about your father, don’t you?” In other words, don’t go chasing after my man. The guilt caused me to be half hearted, so I lacked the necessary strength and confidence to go for a man of my own.

It is peculiar to me the ways that your childhood affected your later life.
Just never heard of something like that.
Trying to get my head around it but I can’t.
I find it difficult to grasp the fact that I can’t necessarily understand everyone.
Having said that if I told you about me in depth you may very well feel the same about me, peculiar
I had forgotten my childhood, too, but my analyst got me into it.

Maybe it’s a good sign to feel like that. Might be that you are ready to take on someone.
I also would like that, but I haven’t really allowed myself to feel it because my health has been so poor the last few years. It’s more just a feeling of loneliness, but if my health improves it might change into wanting someone.

aww chordy go online like plenty of fish dot com and find you a man…it’s not too late !! you can get to know someone really well before you meet them…it’s not dangerous to me. I did it and now I’m getting married…!!
