Freudian things… may have gotten the better of me as well.
I included my mother anyway in my last two Pdoc sessions. I think I’ve been immersed in some flaws for a long time(couldn’t see them), and she may benefit from seeing a professional too. Maybe she’ll warm up to it this way. I’m culpable no doubt, but I probably shouldn’t feel like Norman Bates or a psych 101 cliché as much as I do…

He was violent and controlling. He is dead now. I loved and hated him. My mother stayed in the background so he became more important to me.
