I love that cheese. It almost tastes like meat when cooked.

It looks delicious - similar to pizza.

I fell in love it when I lived in Cyprus! It’s a delicacy!

It was simply delicious. I have pregnancy cravings for it so my mum just went and took me to get some! What a legend!

Spiderpig congratulations on your pregnancy! Too bad I’ve never seen or heard of those delicious looking cheesy darlings. I could have used those when I was pregnant 16 years ago. lol

Then again I could have the definition of delicacy wrong :see_no_evil:

really it is weird because I always thought it came from the Middle east. especially levantine
What did you do in Cyprus? I have been there to Larnaca, and some other towns I do not remember, it was sometime ago. :o) I wanna visit Greece soon too.

I am kidding honey. I love it too. My quebecois friends like it too, they make it with lemon. I am a little “happy” today

I lived there for three years on a RAF camp, my dad was serving!

And oh it could well be, but I always thought it was a Cypriot thing

Glad you’re happy though lovely!!

Halloumi is common in Cypress, Greece and Turkey.

It’s also popular throughout the Middle East.
