I’m not sure I’m responsible. So .. I’m gonna sit on the decision. I don’t want to get a pet to neglect it. I’m leaning towards getting a bird more and more.

You will have a bond with any pet. So many animals need good homes

Birds are very high maintenance. Parrtots for example can live very long time and they are not easy pets.
I have always had a cat but after my cat passed 3 years ago, I am not able to get a new cat yet. I still miss my cat so much. Also my cat was very ill and she had to be taken to the vet many many times and she was on medications. That was very expensive to me. I have a fear, what if my new cat was ill too. That would totally break me, I would be so sad. Having a pet means you need to have money if your pet gets sick. Plus all the other things. Maybe some day I am ready to have a new cat… But not yet.

Honestly start off with fish.
Birds are high maintenance and they too require a lot of work.
Plus, birds are sensitive creatures and get sick a lot.

I would like one, but I don’t think I’m well enough to take care of it, physically. And this place I was at, people broke in. I thought I needed a cat because they had mice, but the things the person breaking in, did, I thought they’d be abusive to my cat. I don’t want an abused cat.

Cats are probably easiest imo ive had a lot of different pets. Well, lizards are pretty easy

I have never in my adult and late teen life had enough mentally stable time to give a pet the care it deserves. Which kills me because I’m a huge dog lover ever since I was very very young. Dogs are just so beyond words amazing. Just one of many things schiz has stolen from me. But I’m fortunate to have family members who have dogs so I spoil them. lol
