What’s going on. I think she’s going to stop treating me. She gave me a vibe in our last appointment. She tells me not to worry about my troubles with reading and comprehension, and I think it’s because she thinks I’m faking. I bet she doesn’t even do what she said she was going to do and inquire about cheaper meds at the mental health pharmacy. I think she turned on me.
Complete wild guess - but maybe there’s nothing she can suggest about your troubles with comprehension and so has nothing to offer you? “Don’t worry about it” = “Don’t beat yourself up about it”
I dunno. Just a guess.
I guess. She always tells me she couldn’t do it either. But I know that’s not true
Yeah, that sounds like they are showing support, but as you say it doesn’t sound very genuine. And I would hope it not be if they are my therapist lol. Maybe this is a pattern though? That they are not that good at showing sympathy? Not trying to diss them as a person or as professional, but maybe that’s just a bad part of their skillset.
I’m feeling really paranoid about it
Well I could be wrong of course, but I guess just keep in mind its always possible its not you thats the issue. You may just be being paranoid. Try and weigh it up against some pro’s about the therapy and then see what you think.
Not important but I felt really paranoid and guarded against the last two staff I saw, but by the end I really trusted them and I was proven that my instincts were wrong.
It’s my pdoc who gives me my meds who I’m paranoid about. But I guess it could just be paranoia and not an issue. But I’m really nervous about it because I need meds.
I don’t really like my Pdoc either. I don’t think they (on the whole) are trained to do relationships with patients . I asked my friend who is a doctor about why they are often so impersonal and he said that to a degree they need to be like that they don’t form attachments and can be entirely rational about your treatment.
That makes sense about being an outside observer
They wouldn’t want to form attachments because you just might get well and walk out of their lives. I’m a dreamer.
I guess, their the kind of doctor that goes from appointment to appointment, on their schedule.
Doctors that are warm, were a different generation.
The one’s now are analytical, more than warm, patient friendly.
However, the one’s in psychiatry, tend to be better than the plain medical.
I’m still hoping she/he calls or inquires about the mental health pharmacy for the discount; so you can get the medication that helps @LilyoftheValley .
Thanks @Ares 1515
i hope your pdoc keeps treating you… would suck to wind up without a pdoc.
do you have a new appointment?
It doesn’t work like that where I go. They tell you when they want to see you, and then a week before that time, you call to schedule. It’s called RealTime scheduling.
oh yea never had it like that. I hope she makes a new appointment… sounds hard that you can’t be sure you have a new appointment…
Hopefully it’s not you being a bit paranoid @LilyoftheValley.
Maybe there’s not much your pdoc can do about it right now.
probably reading too much into it?
That’s a possibility, but I can’t stop thinking she’s going to kick me out of the county mental health clinic which sucks because I really need the help
doubtful, hon. but maybe you can address it next time, visit, or phone call.
How somebody can faking this kind of horrible disease when our treatments worse than the disease.i mean if they think like that they are definitely wants to cuts our social security payments or disability benefits.because no one has dare to fake this disease.its just horrible.
