Is it possible for you to shop at a 24 hour place?

There are a few convenience stores in my area that I have frequented during the graveyard shift…

We have one 7-11 open but I need much much more than a convenience store has and prices are outrageous. I’m hoping to get mostly all we need for two weeks. That’s to feed all 3 of us. I’ll likely spend around $200.

The nearest costco is an hour drive so I’ve never bothered to buy a membership. My choices are Walmart or superstore or sobeys. I’m going to try Walmart first. If there is a line up outside waiting for a chance to get in I’ll try one of the other ones. I used to do pick up but the sites always crash.

one hour! Forget that… In my experience, Walmart prices > Loblaws superstore prices > Sobeys prices in general, not accounting for sale prices in flyers.

Will someone help you to shop when the time comes?

The stores are only letting a few people in at a time and asking that only one person of the family go shopping.

I’ve found in these desperate times that lots of people get up and go shopping first thing. It’s nuts. People are people and I guess with a lot out of work there’s a lot of peeps raring to go early. No slight on your idea…just strange times indeedy. If only John Lennon was around.

I think I might be up a lot Night as well. I gotta be up in 4 hours for a 2 hour drive to another city for a pick up for my farm. Unfortunately my mom is sleeping in my room due to the fact that she’s been keeping up my aunt all night due to her outrageous nightmares. Now she’s starting to keep me up.

@FatMama. In the U.S., Walmart just changed their shopping processes to encourage social distancing. I’m not sure if the same is true in Canada.

Yeahhhh … I just wish I could help her. She has nightmares every night for the last 2 years. Is that normal for someone over 65?
