(Before I begin this is just a joke) They sit around half the time acting like they’re seeing things that aren’t even there and don’t have the energy to do anything more than act in short bursts and seem to have little grasp of how the world actually works with all the bizarre things they do that they seem to think are the easiest way of doing them and they’re excessively paranoid animals who run immediately when anything is weird or outright scary to them and they can be prone to extreme mood swings and kinda just stare into space without moving like they’re catatonic anyway. Har har pun, I get it. I know there are other similarities but I’m drawing a blank now.

Well there is a theory that a cat parasite can cause schizophrenia from affecting a baby in the womb. Maybe they ought to do experiments on cats.
It’s actually a parasite many different mammals are infected with en masse including humans. They did studies of car accident victims and a great deal of them were actually infected with toxoplasmosis which seems to lend to the idea it alters human behavior but not in like, zombie-outbreak-everyone-eats-brains stuff.

Actually they use complex body language combined with looking at what they’re thinking of to communicate a lot more than they are normally given credit for. We’re just blind to it because we aren’t cats who know what to look for.

Cats and dogs can be affected by schizo. The timed elimination and vomiting is noticeable sometimes…
When my trespassing was at the worst and neighbors watched them come and go, boxer dog got beaten up so bad she was under the table every time I came home. Talked to cops but neighbors were doing drugs and refused to make statement, even though I knew who was trespassing by then and their truck was parked down the street a lot of time I walked. I got boxer a new home.
My cat was never the same after I let a sex abuse victim take care of the cat and found out she gave out keys to her man, worked to find him new ones…
My cats has never liked males again. I always make sure she has a lot of places to hide when we have moved together and I am understanding about getting bit, she now bites if frustrated or ignored. She’s lived to 16, 15 years with me healthy even when she stopped using the litter box after I met another group of mental abuser who have bugged me for 9 months now and kept telling me to get a dog. Finally got through some of the litter box issues after vet gave her clean bill of health following some lab tests…My family already has 1 dog who is too aggressive for any other dogs in house but ignore our family’s two cats. (Scared parent would drop her at dog pound to have her killed. Farmer’s kids are not very tactful or forgiving about animals. Found out they dropped dog of 5 years who shook with fright all the time out in public and had a stranger kill her at the dog pound for free instead of pay $100 at vet…Been lots of stress dealing with my old lady cat. Been told by other schizos and mental care, this can happen best to keep pet in one room while home to contain the issues…Use diapers/belly band on male dog but this can just be dog with territory marking issues that are permanent, needs to dump bladder all over the neighborhood on a walk so he won’t mess on floor…Got chased down by guy whose lawn my dog walked across in nice area so is very difficult to deal with these even if you do poop scoop. Got dog attacked once by someone where my dog did #2 on lawn, WACKOS!)
Some people have had their pets stolen from inside or came home to find multiple pets running the neighborhood, even with burglar alarm. Cameras are normally broken immediately, router failed or server side video crashed…Is really bad scam here and cops just started to find out who is on disability check and lock them up on psych hold at your own expense for complaining about this unless everything was stolen. If you have good stuff, have lots of people who get their good stuff stolen right after buying a house here or renting, these never stay more than 2-3 weeks as the cops scare them away…Is no way to get restraining order against anyone here and most of these vandals are known to a lot of people, some cops even protect them. If you have bad police situation like cop is aggressively trying to find out where your money comes from after you file legitimate police report, you need to say you work at Walmart or next town’s factory if you are in small town. If you get screwed by the cops, can move to next town and things are better. (Lady whose multiple pets were let out of place with burglar alarm found out women who tried to remain alone in her city were treated to this by the creepies trying to get girls, so was advised she grab onto the last good guy she knew and shack up. Problem stopped most of the time…They were happy to move after another year or so.)
If your pet appears to be in injured or in pain, do an inspection for sensitive spots like bruises feeling all over pet and range of motion of paws/legs/tail to get a yip… Cowering is bad sign too. Some people try to leave dog outside in dog run or allow cat outside but it is your decision. You may be living in bad place and need to find your friend a new home, at least until you can move.
Methies try to steal little dogs left in yard here to sell on craigslist for more $$$. You could try to find a stay-at-home mom to watch dog & trade weekends/vacations maybe. My city has doggie daycare places…Little old lady might help with pet care while you are gone.
I was once threatened with dog eating my couch, eventually my boxer did damage it bad. I found the stuffing in drawers, toes of shoes…for long time but cops refused to give me police report. Got lots of piss parties on the bed too, way too much for size of dog that slept with me on that bed too. Always peed something that needed dry cleaning…
I have up my housing in that neighborhood. Others walked away about that time too… Cops scared away some. Now living with family that is home most of time, still have come/go but lots less frequent. She has same truck as relative, dresses in family member’s trashed clothing and same height/weight/hair color as family…Had water heater broken & told I would be swimming as I drove home that day. YUP!
