In the start of me using the diabetes/ weight loss drug Ozempic I went from weighing 222 pounds down to 213 pounds.
This is about a 10 pound weight loss.
Well a couple more weeks on Ozempic and my weight hovers at around 214/ 213 pounds.
I can’t seem to drop any more weight even with consuming less than 1200 calories a day.
I’m also eating less carbs but am still having a hard time losing more weight.
The medication is curbing my appetite so it’s frustrating not to lose more weight.
@Wave I know how you feel. I have been on metformin for PCOS, and also Orlistat… I did not lose any weight on them despite walking everyday. I felt frustrated but I am going to try berberine… see how that works out.
I read that the average weight loss for people taking Metformin was only 2-3 kg (4-6 pounds) so decided it wasn’t worth taking it. Maybe it is the same for Ozempic.
You might not be eating enough. As a male you should stick to 1500 calories per day minimum. It may seem counterintuitive, but otherwise your body goes into starvation mode and keeps everything.
You may be able to eat less if you’re under the supervision of a dr and nutritionist.
I haven’t been able to lose any more weight this year and I eat less than 1500 calories a day, I walk a lot, drink lots of water and sleep a lot. I just can’t get below 226lbs for some reason. I feel like giving up. I’m never hungry but I always feel like I need to eat more. I’m never satisfied on my diet.
Its hard to lose weight on APs even on weight neutral ones like Abilify. I couldn’t get lower than 210lb on Abilify eventhough I was going to the gym 4-5x a week 1-2hrs session. I was 135lb before sz. Now on risperidone I am 290-295lb.
