I wonder sometimes if I’m just schizotypal instead of schizophrenic.
With only 2 hospitalizations my sz seems to be mild.

I have the same my episode lasted 3 days im on the lowest dose of haldol never heard voices

I do hear voices and my 2 hospitalizations lasted both 6 weeks. I was still psychotic when I got out though.
Nevertheless, I haven’t been hospitalized in a decade.
I just manage well without stress and on the max dose of Invega,

There are levels of voices. When I hear voices 24/7 I don’t manage well and suffer a lot.
Currently, I just hear voices daily on and off. Not all the time. So, it’s manageable.

What does that mean
All I know for certain is I get severely depressed and hear voice without haldol 24/7 but sometimes I feel happy some people say I’m manic when I don’t take my meds but the haldol helps with the voices and lamictal helps with the mood
My parents blew a gasket when I told them I’m considering quitting my meds also they would kick me out if I go odd my injection
I miss the what was supposedly “manic psychosis” where I thought I could cure cancer and I exposed the global conspiracy but people with paranoid schizophrenia get that magical feeling too
There’s only one way too know by stopping my meds which nobody here should do except I’m a different case
