I must have been about 21 and I was driving home from swing shift and I saw the highway patrol behind me with his lights on so I slowed down and started to pull over and he went on past. I started to pull back out into the lane but my tire blew out. If that highway patrolman didn’t come by when he did I would have had a blowout going full highway speeds. I would have likely wrecked. Maybe died. It’s funny how little things like that always seems to happen to me to help me out. I am truly a lucky person. What things have happened to you that have really helped you out?

A cop let me go on a possession charge.
A big one.
He “destroyed” the evidence, told me to get my life straight and let me go.
No weird sexual favors, nothing.
He probably used.
Whatever, I was lucky that day.
I could have gone to jail for a long time.

I went to the dental college in around 2010 to get a tooth pulled. I got into the chair and the student tried to numb me up. It wasn’t nearly enough and I told him and he gave me more Novocain. An experienced dental professor was overseeing the operation. Right when the student was about to start, the power went out in the whole building. The older professor had me get up and go into the waiting room until the power was restored. After about 10 or 15 minutes the power came back. But while I was in the waiting room the Novocain completely wore off.
WTH? If the power hadn’t gone off, I would have been in the middle of the operation without any anesthesia! It scared me and it must have scared the dentists because the older dentist took over and did the operation himself.

One time I was grocery shopping and short on money so I started putting food back. But this sweet lady behind me stepped up and bought my groceries.
One of the sweetest things a stranger has ever done for me.

I was going up the post office on my bike one day and turned across a major road and got clipped by a car. Ended up sliding down the road on the bike on it’s side. If I was even slightly later the car would have hit my leg full on. Ended up walking away and that is one instance I dodged a big one.
