I don’t know if it’s my meds or what but even if I don’t wake up in pain I’m still waking up after only about 4 or 5 hours of sleep. Even on busy days when I don’t have a chance to take a nap, still only a few hours of sleep. It’s been this way for years. I worry because I had one doctor explain to me that it’s the last few hours of the 8 hours of sleep that are truly restorative. If we aren’t getting 8 hours we are aging ourselves quickly. I don’t want to age myself quickly.
I hope your sleeping improves Leafy!
Thanks @TheCanuk
Hope it gets better soon! Do you have a bedtime ritual? I like to take my showers before bed to loosen up the muscles.
I just get ready for bed, take meds, go potty, floss if needed, get into jammies, turn down bed and then wait to get tired which takes about 20 minutes usually.
Hope you can
Thank you @POET
Maybe I’ll try to stay up later and see if that will help me sleep longer somehow
My psychiatrist told me it was important to cut out caffeine after six. I find that kind of challenging sometimes though.
Once I’m out though, my AP makes sure I stay out. I’m surprised it’s not the same for you.
My ap that I take at night makes me very drowsy but it doesn’t keep me asleep. I also take Rexulti in the morning and I think it’s the real culprit. I think Rexulti is just super energizing and somehow reduces my sleep. But I need it. I’m suicidal without it.
i hope your sleep improves soon @Leaf
it sucks to wake up always i think.
