Mounjaro questions etc

I’ve decided to take Mounjaro for my diabetes for 3 months only because I can’t afford it longer than that.

I’m going to try to lose weight over the next 3 months.

At that point, I plan to switch to glipizide, which is free with my insurance.

I get my first injection tonight.

Questions: do you take Mounjaro ? Has it helped your A1C? What dose are you on? Did you lose weight on it?

Mounjaro is more powerful than Ozempic, Saxenda and Wegovy. You will lose a lot of weight with it. The problem is that if you leave it you can gain weight again. I don’t know what the doctor told you.

@Nirvana , my dr didn’t warn me about regaining the weight as soon as I get off it. I’m going to try it anyway. Hopefully I can control my weight through diet and exercise

I’ve been on Mounjaro for a while and it really helps me with weight loss.

Ozempic does nothing for me.

Mounjaro is more potent

Well, I just found out my insurance’s share was over $800 for the Mounjaro @Wave . That means I’d be in the Medicare prescription “donut hole” in 6 months where I’d have to pay over $200/ mo just for that drug plus 25% of the cost of all my other meds until the end of the year

That means after I finish this month, I won’t be taking any more Mounjaro . I sent a message to my dr letting her know I’ll need something else starting next month that’s cheap and generic.
