I never did a phone call review. I think on the form there was an option to opt out from any interviewing. Good luck though.

I agree. Even a medical professional I saw told me to lie a little. Im against the lying and I don’t feel confident enough to do it, but I don’t see why I shouldn’t be entitled to disability benefits when I clearly have issues that stop me from living a normal life.

I got it second time round.
The company Capita pissed me off, and I refused to go to a face to face as the first time the assessor lied about everything we talked about.
Then I phoned the DWP and complained about them not understanding my reasons for not wanting to attend a face to face.
In the end they spoke to my lead practitioner, and I got it.
Because of the difficulty around the meeting that I refused to go to, they gave me standard mobility as well.
You have to fight for this benefit. The people assessing it are no better than scum in my book. I got points for things I did not even say were a problem, and no points for what I thought were key issues.
It really is one of the most stressful and exhausting things to get, but it’s worth fighting for.

I got zero points for every single category and clearly was anxious my partner was with me but no she said I looked fine

It should. Make sure you get an advocate if you can and tell them what it’s like on a really bad day, not the good.

I don’t know if this is helpful ish, but I’m on limited capability for work, I’m just reading now apparently you can do some work whilst receiving that.

Is it something you need? If it is then apply for it. The worst they can do is say no.

Well I don;t have a job so it would help …and even when i get a part-time job it will make all the difference.
