I need to take better care of myself

I’m diabetic and starting Wednesday I’m going to be cooking at home (husband’s pay day is Wednesday) my mom orders us way to much take out or deli food and it has to stop also I need to start working out more I have several workout switch games and a gym membership (free membership) that I need to use more I need to be determined and get on this weight loss journey I start cooking probably Wednesday

I also need to take better care of myself
More showers
brushing my real and fake teeth (I did brush them last night and the night before)
More makeup (so I feel better about myself)
Journaling (I’m getting better at this)
Tracking anxiety (I’ve been okay at this I made a paper spreadsheet for this)
As said before I need to work out more and eat a lot healthier
I need to concentrate on myself

Thanks @Moon I’m going to try… I’m a huge foodie and love food and it’s going to be hard to quit my food addiction because I can admit I have a problem and I guess that’s step one I look forward to cooking actually and that’s a little surprising

I’m also quitting energy drinks
soda, coffee, and tea only

I still vape but I tried getting rid of that and I was still having awful cravings at week 4 who ever said it gets better after day 3 was lying

I quit vaping 19 months ago and still get cravings! Good for you to make all these changes to improve yourself. It’s not easy but you seem to have a handle on it.

nice! you have a nice list, ill share my daily self care list just incase your looking to add stuff to your list:

Drink water
meds/herbs
1 cup each food group
vegetables
coffee/tea
stretch
hygiene
massage
sunlight

I think when it comes to doing right most people have insight how to do it. It’s the daily sacrifice in an easy access potentially hedonistic world that makes any discipline hard. I think we’ve all been guilty of falling short. Commit to little before taking on a full plate. Build up to self sacrifice or it may be too much to bear.

@2Waynez you have to take care of yourself before you can help others
