I may have Glaucoma

The eye doctor called me up today and he wants me to return for further testing.
My eye pressure was a bit above the normal range and the eye image I took yesterday flagged as a yellow, which indicates caution.

I have to go back in 3 months.
And we’ll see if I develop Glaucoma
He says I’m on the verge.

My father has Glaucoma and it’s hereditary.

The doctors tell me that Glaucoma is serious business.
If you are not careful it can lead to blindness.

I thought marijuana cured glaucoma? or helps it?

Probably doesn’t help much if it aggrevates your psychosis though

I’m not going to take MJ though.

I will have to go on special drops to control my eye pressure.

I’m sorry to hear you may have glaucoma.

I worked for an ophthalmologist for a while and know how serious it can be.

Keep using your drops and see the doctor frequently.

Maybe CBD would have the same pressure lowering g effect as regular marijuana? You’d need high grade stuff, but it could help. I will look it up.

Ok, I read up on it and while marijuana helps relieve pressure it constricts blood flow which is damaging.

CBD has been found to INCREASE the pressure.

So neither are good options.

With my type 1 diabetes, I also worry about going blind someday, from diabetic retinopathy.

I get you. Glaucoma runs in my mothers side of the family also. And all the women on her side have it. So I’m likely to get it also it’s a shitty set of cards but what can you do. I’m worrying about it tbh
