I may drastically cut back on my meds

Going to ask my pdoc if I could lower my doses on my meds.
I’m always so tired that I’m not functioning.
Always on the couch.
I’m so sedated that it’s affecting my thinking.

Hopefully she’ll agree.
This is no way to live.

I seem to remember you tried that before (I think) and it didn’t work out.

Do you know which med is causing the sedation ?

Yeah you are right, it didn’t work out so well.
But I really don’t know what to do.
I can’t take amphetamines or antidepressants.

The combo of Depakote and risperidone is making me sedated.

Just do it slowly. You don’t want to get a bunch of rebound symptoms.

Maybe ask your doc about provigil it’s for wakefulness

It’s not a good idea to try and combat the sedation, it’ll just create more problems

Yeah it’s tough but after a long time feeling sedated and tired one trys to find ways around it

Would changing the time of day you take meds make a difference ?

There’s nothing wrong with trying it out again. But if it were me, I’d ask to do it very slowly to be sure my symptoms didn’t come back

I’ve been on low doses of my meds in the past and I ended up going to the hospital.

Hi wave,

It could be fear based, like fear of hallucinations, then they happen. I lowered my APs and dealt with the anxiety through medication and yes I still hallucinate but I am not afraid of it and I function. Even when I was tranqed I would still hear voices.
