I’m so f**king tired of being tired. I sleep a shtion, and during the day all I want to do is lay down. I just feel tired.
It’s making it difficult to get anything done. I know(?) I have this trouble due to Clozaril, but I only take 350mg—anything less and it’s not as effective. I want a new med but my doctor doesn’t agree; I’ve tried Latuda, Haldol, Trilafon, Invega/Invega Sustena, Risperdal, Geodon,
Seroquel.
I just don’t want to be tired anymore
It could be because you’re not getting your calories. It’s time to tell someone about your eating disorder anyway.
I agree, it could be because of malnutrition or lack of vitamines.
I know you’re afraid of telling your family about your condition, but they love you and want what’s best for you, and they can’t help you if you’re not honest with them.
I came here to say the same thing the other two posters said,
You probably need to eat something.
I try everyday to hit my maintenance calories and to not purge. I’m still tied even though I’m eating. I’m getting to the point where I might quit Clozaril.
I think I’ll be making an appointment to see my doctor sometime soon.
Please get help for your eating disorder and stop the purging completely, you may feel better.
I’m sorry that you are feeling so tired.
I felt so drained on 4mg of risperidone so my doctor lowered it to 3mg and now I have more energy.
Hang in there @stellaglow
Maybe ask if you can add on Abilify. Some get energy. Most actually. I’m on it, but I don’t unfortunately. I feel similiar to you, so you’re not alone. My strategy right now is to just go for a walk, shower daily, just getting the basics done. And try and challenge yourself to atleast try doing something you think you may enjoy. Its been working for me…slowly.
Also try vitamins. Vit B may help some.
Anyway sorry to hear, hope you figure something out. Good luck.
I don’t think my doctor wants to mess with my medications at the moment (since I’m doing much better now). I was put on a medication for side effects at the hospital and it helped with the tiredness (I’ve since been pulled off of it). I forgot the name.
I also wouldn’t mind a stimulant like Vyvanse.
The only thing that seems to help the tiredness is coffee and being active (like driving, walking, etc.).
I do also take vitamins (D3, K2, omega 3, b vitamins).
I’d agree that a stimulant works wonders for energy. I was on Dexedrine 45 mg a year ago and it helped me so much. It was like I had no Neg symptoms. But one day they made me psychotic. I ignored for weeks and ended up trying to kill myself bc of a delusion.
But that’s just me, I know some people have no problems. And I’m not sure, but Vyvanse might be better too since it’s not an amphetamine.
Hopefully your pdoc wouldn go for something like that. If (s)he doesn’t right away tell them it’s something you want to revisit as youve been stable for longer.
I hope it works out for you.
