I’m pretty stoked… and nervous

Well, I’m gonna have a girls night out with a girl I’ve never met before.

We were friends back in the emo MySpace days (internet friends) back in middle school/early high school. She lived in the town next to the one I lived in.

Anyways- a couple years ago she found me and added me on Facebook!

We’re planning to go out next week

Btw, I signed back up for Bumble. :unamused: I didn’t mention sz this time on my profile.

Thank you @Bowens

I’m sure it’ll be a great time! Still nervous tho lol

Why thank you! :sunglasses:

And ah, yeah, save the SZ drop for the 1st date :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: lol jk….

I mean, I’ve said this a million times but I honestly told my husband through text before we ever met that I had SZ…. But I can imagine for men with SZ it can be harder in the dating world. But what do I know :woman_shrugging:

Good for you, I hope you have a good time and maybe it will turn into a regular, fun thing.

Thanks @77nick77

She actually lives on the other side of the country now, but is in town visiting family…

So sadly, it will be a once in a great while thing

(Hopefully)

Yeah, it’s pretty tough for us sz dudes.

I think licking your mustache and discussing fine head cheese is more socially acceptable than bringing up schizophrenia.

LOL, you might be right on that one Monte :joy:

@Montezuma

But I wish you all the best luck with bumble!!

Thank you!

I honestly kinda feel like a dumbass already.

I mean most of the time on a first date you agree to meet somewhere. So I’ll have to pick somewhere close by I can walk to since I don’t own a car.

These are the breaks!

Edit to add: There’s always the Salvadorian restaurant around the corner!

Right?? I understand the struggle…
I live on a dirt road so anytime I go anywhere I’m the passenger princess lol

So like meeting with this girl, my dad is gonna have to drive me or something

Oh yeah! Great idea :sunglasses:

Or the library or thrift store…… you can show her all your wild movie recommendations :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hey- at least you’d find out if she’s into the same stuff as you

Haha! Awww. Don’t feel bad, las!

True friends don’t care about that material shite.

:hugs:

OOOO! Those are great ideas!!!

The thriftstore and library are both super close to me too.

You’re a genius ma’am. There will be little Montezumas runnin around in no time.

BAHAHHAAHAHA!

:sunglasses:

Yeah…. @Montezuma

Idk, some friends do care if you can drive or not… which I don’t have my license or a car.

But I’m sure this girl will understand

Oh, but like you said, true friends don’t care

What girl doesn’t like shopping at a thrift store :tipping_hand_woman:

AND, if she’s down with that library life, she’s a keeper for you

All my friends are like mentally ill punk rocker kinda people. They drive, but it’s probably because they have to because of the areas they live in.

Very true! I feel like a thrift shop date would ease a lot of the pressure. Besides maybe I can buy her a sexy dress?
