I’m going away for a few days

I’m going on a small trip to the beach.
My stubborn Dad wants to drive down there and this is making me feel uneasy and sick with fear.
It’s going to be a little on the cool side but I’ve been to this hotel before and enjoyed it.

I’ll still be able to visit the forum while I’m there.

I get nervous on the road in general but especially when my older Dad gets behind the wheel for longer distances.

Enjoy the beach! I love the off season. Not too hot and less crowded.

I can relate about fears concerning older dad’s driving cars. My dad insists on driving when he visits. He says he doesn’t make a good passenger. But he’s less sharp than he used to be and we’ve been in some dicey situations.

Glad to hear you might be taking an Uber!

I live a hundred miles from the beach and almost never go. I hope you have a warm coat… and a great time.
