I’m buying a new laptop tonight

My sister is going with me. I have the money, I’ll probably get an Apple. I don’t really know a lot about them though, I hope they operate pretty similar to my Dell.

Yeah, I broke the hinge on the screen on my Dell and now the case is just breaking more and more and the guts are hanging out. It works still but it looks like a piece of junk.

I have a Dell G7 laptop and I love it.

I’ve never owned an Apple product but I did have to install a printer on a macbook once. They are a lot different. All the icons and programs are different.

Yeah, I hope you better luck than me buying electronics. I bought a “renewed” phone from Amazon recently and had to return it for replacement because it was all messed up and buggy. Then to top it all off it ended up being locked up because my pin that I entered to unlock the phone on startup would not work properly to unlock the phone. Hopefully my replacement “renewed” phone isn’t as F’d up as the first. Guess I should’ve just got my money back and bought a brand new one. Oh well.

I say you get this one, it’s 30% off :open_mouth:

Yeah, you’re taking your chances with “refurbished” electronics. At the worst, you’re buying someone else’s problems. I bought a refurbished GPS for my car and luckily it seems to work fine after a year of use.

Lol I know you’re joking, these specs are too overkill, 64gb ram and Quadro RTX? Haha

Apple is pretty different from a Dell btw
Dell runs Windows while Apple doesnt.

Best of luck with the purchase. Apple is different to Windows (Dell). So there’ll be a learning curve.

You should do some research on specs or ask tech people on the forum, if you don’t know what you’re getting they will sell the overpriced underpowered stuff like apple products, which are way different than windows if that’s what you’re used to

It’s a big adjustment going from windows to apple.

I wouldn’t be able to go from Apple to Windows. I wouldn’t want too.

I am still using my first laptop which I bought in 2008. I put a SSD in it and it’s fun to use. It is an Asus. I have windows 10 on it.

Macbooks are great, I think you’ll love Apple. Battery life is wonderful. Also, it’s a lot harder to get a virus on a Macbook!!!
