My case manager is such a nice person.
She is so positive and patient with me.
I am lucky to have her in my life.
Such a good person.
She doesn’t look down on me - she treats me with respect.
And I respect her.

Good for you. That is such a great relationship to have.
My case manager is pretty good. Though this last few weeks she’s been super busy and hasn’t had a meeting with me. She didn’t even come to my pdoc appointment today. I think there was a case manager meeting during the appointment.
I just briefly met my new case manager. I meet with her in December. I hope I like mine as much as you like yours.
That’s so great! I am thankful for mine as well
Thanks guys! 15
What’s a case manager for? I just see my pdoc.
My case manager takes me to doctors appointments, she will go with me to a local mental health clubhouse etc…
She is there for support and helps me achieve my goals I set forth.
They are great as additional support!
She even takes me food shopping sometimes.
I enjoyed having a good relationship with my case manager a while back. I haven’t seen her in a long time though, I suppose she might be retired now. She was nice and I wish her the best.
These days I don’t have a case manager, I’m fairly independent right now, thankfully.
Yeah, mutual respect is the ideal.
@Wave
Happy for you! Thanks for sharing! Your gratitude is inspiring and contagious!
Thank you @FlyingPurplePeopleMeeter!
I feel like I am on pretty good terms with my case manager. Even though he is less than thirty years old, and I am almost sixty, I constantly defer to his authority.
That’s great to hear. It always helps when you have a supportive network. Helps you through the toughest times. My case manager is pretty good too. It is nice being able to catch up with her.
How much does a case manager cost wave?
You are so lucky!
My case managers were absolutely terrible. Every last one of them.
The only person I liked from the s.m.i. clinic was what they called a “peer” because he was the only one who truly understood what I was going through and had some empathy.
@anon97118089. You get a case manager if you have Medicaid. You can also get one if you have Medicare but you have to pay for it. I’m not sure how much. My Medicare Advantage plan covers it if they determine you need one. They say if you have 2 or more chronic diseases you need one. There’s a copay but I’m not sure how much.
Glad you have a good experience with your case manager @Wave. I think having a good support team makes all the difference for us.
I belong to a mental illness charity organization- they provide supportive housing and case managers.
Case managers are free through the organization.
I have Medicare, but if you are a member it’s free in my state.
Thanks everyone!
Yeah my case manager is only in her twenties but she is very mature and responsible for her age.
