My compassionate case manager stopped by my house for a little while today.
I had to sign some documents.
She is so nice and genuinely an all around good person.
I want to give her a gift of my appreciation this Christmas season but I don’t know if it’s allowed.
My case manager is also great. I feel he cares more about me than my pDoc and Therapist. Really appreciate how much time my case manager spends with me weekly.
Not sure you need to show your appreciation with a gift. I think you can just let her know.
I’ve wanted to give my doctors or therapists a gift before too. ALL of them said they couldn’t accept. I just gave my old pdoc (she left at the end of March to be closer to family) a thank you card, and she almost started crying. Seriously. If I had to venture a guess, none of her other patients gave her one, and here was this psychotic dude acknowledging her treatment and care. T’was a good feeling and act.
I’m interested in getting a case manager. How do you get a case manager. What do they do for you. Is the main reason for a case manager is to socialize with you?
Well she’s technically called a counselor but I refer her as my case manager.
I’m pretty sure that you have to belong to a mental health organization similar to the Mental Health Association.
They can provide you with free counselors or case managers @Jake.
