I know there are a lot of threads like this, but

I am so disappointed in my weight

Now I have gone over the weight I was at my heaviest after Olanzapine

My weight when I was 25 was 59 kilos

Now I am close to 100 kilos

Can the mental health team do anything to help?

Since their advice to change meds was made I have put on 35 kilos since January

Not totally blaming the meds but they have contributed to my inactivity

I look disgusting now as I have a slim frame with fat all over

I went from about 230lbs (104kg) prior to psychosis, down to like 165 or 175 lbs (cant remember exact) during psychosis, thanks to delusional changes I made. I then went on Invega, became a inactive zombie for awhile and ballooned up to 248.8. I switched to abilify, lost some weight and have been yo yo ing at around the same weight for a long time. As of yesterday I was 235. It’s definintely a struggle.

I totally relate. On Seroquel I gained 45 kg in one year. I had to switch APs. 35kg since January is not good. Tell them you absolutely need a new med.

I don’t know if you can get away with how I handled it but I went to my pdoc and said how much I gained.in a year and said I absolutely refuse to ever take that drug again. I said I was more than happy to take my meds so long as it was something else

I am on Invega and I was inactive for some time. Thankfully I did not over eat so I only put on 30 lbs in 3 years. But I am making changes to lose weight.

I drink lots of water
No added salt in my food
Low fat milk instead of full cream
No snacks
No sodas only juices
Only 3 meals a day
Chores everyday

I want to keep making changes

Gym? Tough one. Maybe we all have to do the same. Walk loads. Take simple advice. Be kind to ourselves. Im currently two stone over weight round about usually im extra small. I feel for you its not anorexia. Also eat whatever you want in the right portions. For your height and weight according to bmi. Or bmr.

It’s tough keeping weight on certain meds. Even on 5mg olanzapine I’ve had challenges. To combat it I work out 2-3 times a week for 45 minutes, try to go for at least 30minute walk every day and limit junk food and snacks. I eat chinese rather than mcdonalds when I eat out.

But I guess sometimes, if you don’t have the energy or motivation (which oftein is related to meds) a med change is in order. Hopefully things will get better when you stabilize and get used to the vraylar.

I gained 30 lbs in 2 years on invega. Im fat and out of shape. But i dont care about exercising. Its to much effort for me. So im okay with being 200lbs. Last i checked i had lost 15 lbs and was at 195

It’s a struggle!

I eat so healthy.
And little.
If I eat less I’ll be malnutritioned.

I exercise a lot.
One hour pump twice a week, aerobics, half hour walks….

Still no weight loss and I look chubby.

I want to lose ten kg.

When I was on olanzapine I was 80 kg and only 159 cm.

Now I’m 64 kg.

Even if I was 57 kg i would be so happy with that but no change.

Been doing my exercises routine soon four months and no change in my body.

Better mood and motivation but nada change physically.
