I just want someone who understands

i dont know if schizophrenia is what i have, i hear voices and i see things sometimes too, i just want to talk to someone who can relate.
i listen to music at night because it clears my head from all the noise the voices make…
when i was younger i used to get depressed a lot, when i tried to tell someone about the things i see or hear they would call me crazy and say im imagining too much. but its much more than that…

Hey @ArielBarbie, I don’t hear voices but I saw stuff. It’s really terrifying… Know you’re not alone in this.

Have you been diagnosed? Are you on medication?

No i cant be diagnosed its too risky they say it will ruin my life and i dont want to be tagged as someone who has mental illness although i do accept that part in myself

i do know it is not normal to hear a voice in my head planning murder with me,
sometimes its worse sometimes its okay. sometimes i can tell the diffrence between a voice messing with me and sometimes i dont know whats real anymore

Well, there are worst things than having a mental illness tag. Like living with it untreated, for example. But that’s just my opinion, a lot of people here go on without medication.

i know…
how does it feel with medication?

It depends on the person, in my case it was pretty liberating. No more delusions or hallucinations, I’m calmer and I think a better person as well because I no longer feel that much anger.

make an appointment aith a psychiatrist…and get yourself diagnosed.

i have anger problems, it is diagnosed. does it have something to do with schizophrenia?
i nearly killed a guy last year with a kitchen knife

You should go to a psychiatrist and receive medication before you do something that is out of your control.

im fine most days i dont think i need help just a person who understands
maybe i dont even have schzophrenia maybe im just wierd

I believe this qualifies as schizophrenia, but I’m not a doctor.

I won’t sympatize with someone who tried to kill another human being and refuses to get help, I’m sorry.

To be fair it was self deffense he tried to kill me first.
i do not think it was okay at any part but that what really got me thinking.
if i do get diagnosed, what will it cost me?
can you carry on your life, work place, friends and family?

You carry on with your life, if you decide to disclose your illness to them it depends on how big of a stigma they have.

Go get help.

You can carry on life much better if you are diagnosed on medication then undiagnosed sz symptoms no medication that’s for sure

Why do they say this, these people you are talk of here? Who are they? Family? The voice? A religious group?

That’s why I come on here. I wasn’t diagnosed with schizophrenia but I still struggle with psychosis that’s been diagnosed. People on here I feel really understand a lot of that.

Talk with us

It’s best to get help early before it gets worse. Trust me you don’t want to do something bad and end up in the mental health and law system. I’ve been in the system for 10 years and have very little freedom.

No, schizophrenia will ruin your life, but you cant control that. A diagnosis can only help, if you are schizophrenic.
